A status computed from your timestamps — against cited pediatric thresholds
BabyHydrate never asks you to judge how your baby is doing. It computes time since last wet diaper and the rolling 24-hour count from the timestamps you log, compares them with published, age-banded pediatric thresholds, and re-derives the status continuously against the clock. It can only escalate — nothing in the app can set a safer status by hand.
“Counts within thresholds — keep watching.” The numbers are inside the cited range for this age. The When-to-call card stays one tap away.
“Fewer wet diapers than usual.” A threshold has been approached or crossed on the cautious side — keep offering fluids and keep logging.
The pattern matches what pediatric guidance says to call about. The app prompts you to call — it never diagnoses, and calling is never gated.
